I’ve been wanting to do a feature on this subject for a very long time but every time I tried to write the post it sounded like a Chronic Tourette’s Sufferers Convention.

Week 262 – Bored Board Game, Deity Affected Genitalia And Lubricant For A Job Well Done.
Another week over – It’s so sad.
No matter what the size of the story, plots can be complex but it is very off putting when we consider a story to be contrived.
Acceptable complex to contrived is separated by a bit of insecurity. Trust your readers, you do not need to baby them. Have the confidence to reveal without having to leave clues. Clues are a different medium, they are for being spotted, not read.
I think it’s all to do with flow. If you’re writing and your plot unravels naturally, then you have got it right. If you constantly change a story to fit the plot then that is maybe what comes across as contrived.
Week 260 – Exposure, A Bowel Sausage And Parasite Is A Cracking Read.
Another week has came and went. We now find ourselves at posting number 260.
I long stopped doing this for any recognition, or let’s be honest, success. When you do that you realise what a love you have for reading stories and coming up with your own.

Week 257 – Misplaced Logic, Motivation And A Meltdown.
Well here we are at Week 257.
There’s been many a time when we’ve commented on an unsuccessful submission and stated that there was no emotion. Or that the emotion wasn’t strong enough. We’ve never once stated that the emotion was too over the top.
That realisation gave me the idea for today’s posting.

Week 253 – Unavailable Fables, A Taste Of Ointment And A Deceit Of Politicians.
The year is flying by and we are now at Week 253.
I was on holiday a few weeks back and stayed in a couple of hotels. It was weird to see that there were no bibles. Not that I wanted a bible mind, there was plenty of toilet paper but I just think that it is a bit sad for those who want to read some bibley stuff. You’ll may have noticed that I’m not the most religious person but what I did think was a sorry state of affairs was when Churches first started being padlocked at night. If you are of a notion and you want a wee pray then that option should always be open to you.

Well here we are at Week 251.
There was no need to think on any inspiration this week, it found me.
First off I need to thank Nik for standing in last Saturday, he did a grand job. Nik has also had some input into this weeks posting. Diane stood back and sighed. (I’d have judged her if she hadn’t) I’ve still got my knack of repelling the ladies!!
