Two men walked towards the elevator. The older man took out two key cards and gave one to his son.

“I promised you that I would take you into the tower when you reached twenty-five.”

“I was fed up asking.”

“Dennis, you have worked hard over the last eight years. I am proud of how quick you have picked up on the businesses I run, sorry, we run. You are my son and my partner and I had to make sure that you would be able to handle what you are about to see.”

The three children screamed with delight. They ran up to their bedrooms to look out some calendars and to chat and get excited as little children do.

She sat. Never said a word. Asking about how they were going to afford this was a bad idea.

He smiled at her.

“Well, you can tell everyone what I am doing for the kids. That’ll shut your mother up.”

She nodded, trying to hide the swallow that relieved the lump of dread in her throat.

Open letter to who can access:

We need to refrain from the hobby. It is with regret that I will implement this. To all involved within my branch, I ask that you cease immediately. I know that may be difficult, especially for the more enthusiastic and extreme members but it must stop.

We have suffered many losses. Some members are now out of circulation and there is going to be a storm regarding others. The protection that this branch guaranteed, unfortunately has to be considered compromised. There will be no more payments taken until our present difficulties are eradicated. I wish to ensure you that we will continue to monitor as much as we can, any future involvements for any potential return to our participation. I would say that the expectation may actually be more exquisite than the involvement.
