Week 531 – Could Someone Show Me, A Plethora Of First Timers And Could They No Just Ring A Bell??

Week 531 is now upon us.

I would like to start with a wee add-on regarding the subject of the Tech-Firms. There have been a few demonstrations and meetings this week regarding privacy laws that won’t allow parents to access what their kids have been looking at on the web. Sadly this is requested after something happens. Now, I might be making a tit of myself as I know less than nothing about all this, but is it beyond technology to remove the remove history application from domestic (For want of a better word) computers?

Week 528: What’s in a Title; The Votes Are In and Genre Overkill

Naming Stuff

I like interesting titles. Now, these are not items to be confused with lying “clickbait” nonsense, but titles of books, movies and songs that stray from the norm. Often, as is the case of the cheap 60’s Spaghetti Western God Forgives, I Don’t, the item fails to live up to the title (but, to be fair, it is an interesting little film regardless). And sometimes certain interesting titles almost guarantee a good picture. The two Sergio Leone “Once Upon a Time…” films are classics, as is Quinton Tarantino’s exceptional Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There is also one called Once Upon a Time in Mexico that I’ve heard good things about (starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz, both excellent performers), yet I’ve somehow yet to see it (I hope to fix that someday soon).

Week 525 – Two For A Change, Recommendations And How Much Shrimp Makes You Pink?

Here we are at Posting number 525. It must be a week or a good seven days since the last one!

Another eclectic mix of whatever. Now that I think on it, ‘eclectic’ and ‘mix of whatever’ are surely twin meanings??

Week 523 – Dio / Bonnet /Turner, Music Induced Wrath And ‘The Poseidon Adventure Wasn’t Mentioned Because Of The Polo-Neck!

Here it is, Week 523 which follows on from last weeks 522! Not much of a surprise!

First off, Leila made me realise something, I’ve lost an old skill. She mentioned a song of a favourite Rock Group of mine, ‘Rainbow’ and I realised that I didn’t know it. I was pleased (For my own sanity) that I’d never owned the album it came from. That was what made me think. If you love music and are of a certain age, albums and their included songs came to you hand in hand. This happened in a split second. As soon as someone mentioned a song you blinked and in that time you saw yourself opening the album cover and taking out the record. You then would state:

‘This Night’? – That’d be Billy Joel’s ‘Innocent Man Album.’

‘Spread Your Wings’? – That’d be Queen’s ‘News Of The World’ album’

‘Dirty Water’? – That’d be ‘The Quo’s ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’ Album’

Those three came to me and there would be a lot more but there is probably double that amount that I’d not know when at one time I did.

Here we are posting number 519

It’s been a weird week.

I’ve been limping more than normal and just noticed I have a huge bruise on my knee – Fuck knows how it got there. A note to my self (Is that one word??) I need to take more showers!!!!

Week 515 – House Fog, Twenty Players No. 6 And Exercising The Grey Matter.

Week 515 is my first posting of 2025.

Hope everyone had a brilliant New Year!!!

It was just after the bells when I thought on something. My mum had been a wee bit upset, understandably, she gets this way at this time of the year since my dad died. I think all of us who have lost folks do and let’s be honest, it gets worse each year, not better, cause there is always someone else to add to the list!

Week 511 – Don’t Let Them kid You, Go Out For A Regular Beer and Inappropriate Ink.

Here we are at Week 511.

I hate this time of year.

I hate the greed of the supermarkets – Just look at any dangling clip-strips, dump bins and every piece of space that is occupied by some shite or another.

Week 510: Snow Daze Enthusiasm; Everyday Enthusiasms; More From the Pantry and a Long Distance Dedication From David McCallum

(Meet Boo, picture provided by Tressa Bella Barrigar)

Snow Daze

The fine fellow in this image is Boo the Husky Artist as a Young Dog–who to this very instant remains a close associate and housemate of our friend, Dale Williams Barrigar. I think Boo exemplifies the Spirit of Snow Day as well as any living creature. Huskies can handle the chill. They will smile and play and chat gleefully at the Antarctic, and raise a quizzical brow as your blood freezes faster than the face of a strip club bouncer when you get all hands with his girl. (For what I hope are obvious reasons, I have never been inside a strip club, but my brother saw a guy get jacked-up something awful for engaging in the described stupid activity: “Dude gotta face full of fist…lost some teeth.”)
