Alex Sinclaire is a brilliant writer on the subject of darkness. No matter how dire the hell he takes the reader through, you never want to go back even though that feels like the safer plan of action.
The Child of Smoke is a brilliant work that fits the above description to the point of creating it for its own self. Alex has a wonderful knack with language, and he is able to move that properly from character to character without a false note.
We invite him to add further observations on this post already five years old. It is a brilliant and frightening thing that refuses to let the reader rest easily.
