Literally Reruns – Our Harbour by Paul Kimm

Loyal site friend, Paul Kimm, is rightfully known for his comments and support for our writers–but he is a first rate author himself. Paul has a winning touch that comes off effortless, which is usually indicative of a writer who has worked tirelessly on a piece to achieve that effect.

Paul’s Our Harbour is a perfect example of that, and we hope that your Sunday is enriched by reading this work, which first appeared on the first day of autumn, 2022.

  1. Hi Paul!
This is a great story, especially the PROSE STYLE; and the POINT OF VIEW, both in the technical sense and in the world-view sense. Other writers can learn from this. I’ll place more detailed comments underneath the story itself. Thanks for writing!

  2. Hi Paul,
This is one of those stories that I remembered as soon as I read the first line.
I then looked back at my comments and sadly I can’t add much.
…However, I saw that this was only your second story in and if I was going to add anything it would be, ‘Only two stories in show what this writer has in his writing locker!!’

Thank you so much for what you do for the site! But here’s a scold, you need to submit so much more. The writing skill you have is only surpassed by your story-telling!!!

Hope all is well with you and yours.

    1. Hi Hugh – thank you for the lovely feedback and you are absolutely right about submitting more. I do plan to start sending more to LS as soon as possible – I’ve been working on something much longer for the past year or so and my short story output has slowed to close to a standstill. Also, the few short stories I’ve finished have been over the LS word limit. However, I do hope to send more as soon as possible.
