Today we will once again visit our friend Tom Sheehan, the tale is called Flesh of an Unwanted Fish.
Tom excels at recalling the right little moments. And his observations and displays of emotion are clear and poignant and have great depth because he doesn’t get lazy and dazzle you with cheap sentimentality.
Although one can pick this apart and examine the metaphors and symbols, I, for one, learned a long time ago to stop doing that with the final ring of the school bell. Life is good the way Tom describes it; an ongoing spiritual awakening that never really ends.

This one continues to improve with every reading. Few persons find what they are best at in life, but Tom has.

A vivid picture of a man confronting the slow decay of his cherished world. Poignant and beautifully crafted.

Don’t know why I didn’t comment before. Some people are in touch with the world. The main character is. Are the rest of us better or worse off than the mc? I don’t know.
