Marissa McNamara, teaches English composition and creative writing at Georgia State University where she also a reader for The Chattahoochee Review. She writes drama, short stories, poetry, and essays. Her work has appeared in several publications including the anthology On Our Own and the journals RATTLE, Assisi, Melancholy Hyperbole, StorySouth, Future Cycle, and The Cortland Review. She also has work forthcoming in The Amsterdam Quarterly, My Body My Words, and First Weekly Review. Marissa lives in Atlanta with her two crazy dogs and a pack of pink plastic flamingos.
