Athena Vasquez, is a graduate student in the MFA fiction program at California State University Long Beach. She has written several stories that aim to encapsulate her unique experience as a Mexican transgender woman. Athena primarily draws inspiration from feminist works by authors like Sandra Cisneros, Sylvia Plath, and Mary Shelley. When she is not writing, she enjoy reading a good book and sipping on some delicious iced coffee. Her coffee must always be iced! Even in below zero temperature.
