Athena Vasquez is a Ph.D. student in the Gender Studies program at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Athena is a recipient of the prestigious Eugene V. Cota-Robles Fellowship and holds a BA in English Creative Writing and a MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction from California State University, Long Beach. Athena has published work in Entre Magazine, Los Angeles Blade, and other magazines.
She is currently at work on her novel Heart Me.
When she is not writing, researching, or teaching, Athena enjoys reading a good book and an iced coffee. Her coffee must always be iced! Even in subzero temperatures.
