J.D. Strunk was born in Boston, Massachusetts, grew up in northern Ohio, and has a degree in English Literature from the University of Toledo. His fiction has appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, The Coachella Review, The Louisville Review, and elsewhere. He was a finalist for The Bellingham Review Tobias Wolff Award for Fiction, and his story “Fresh Coffee” was nominated for The Best American Short Stories. He lives in Denver, Colorado.
