Donna Slade was a 2017 Fellow at Stanford University’s Distinguished Careers Institute where she founded and currently co-chairs DCI Writes. She is the founder of their newly published site, The Vault, and runs a Short Story Contest in collaboration with the Stanford Online High School and DCI Writes. She hosts and coordinates writer’s retreats, workshops and author interviews with her two co-chairs.
Formerly Donna was a small business owner with two distinct brands under one company and sold her business in 2014. She has served on several nonprofit boards over the years and currently Chairs the Education Committee for Jazz Aspen/Snowmass in Aspen CO. Locally she advocates for the homeless in their valley and has a writer’s group that she hosts with recovering addicts. She is a member of the Aspen Writer’s Network, which is part of the Aspen Institute and Aspen Words.
