Heather Rutherford is published or is forthcoming in El Portal, Euphony Journal, Life in 10 Minutes Online Magazine, riverSedge, and Stirring: A Literary Collection, and The MacGuffin. She has attended numerous writing workshops, including Teaching Writing in the Community; classes at the Virginia Fine Arts Museum Studio School; and “Life in 10 Minutes,” a Richmond writing school, online magazine, and press. Heather grew up in upstate New York and escaped the cold by attending the University of Richmond to earn a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She and her family live in Richmond, Virginia, where she taught yoga and meditation for fourteen years and writes and edits the yoga center newsletter. Heather has raised two kids and several Labrador Retrievers, including two yellows named Huckleberry Finn and Scout Finch.
