Before completing his degree in Sociology, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona, Joel Pedersen floundered around in film colorization, animation, photographic processing, computer training sales, property leasing, mental healthcare and tutoring. After completing his degree he floundered around in graduate school, computer programming, visual art, and ceramics. Currently, he is floundering around in writing. Though he envies people who have had a well-defined and focused career arc he really has preferred to flounder and hopes that publishers might see past the lack of appropriate letters behind his name.
