Olds, Carey

Corey Olds sometimes writes under the pseudonym Yeroc Sidlo. Holding multiple degrees (i.e., in French, history, and the humanities) from Oberlin College and Stanford University, Corey was first published nationally in Testimony:  Young African-Americans on Self-discovery and Black Identity (Boston: Beacon Press, 1995). Soon thereafter, he began having pieces published in SOMA Magazine (San Francisco). Given his thirty-plus years teaching (from the primary to the collegiate level), Olds has also published in Independent School, the official magazine of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Presently, Corey is writing a compendium of short stories and a series of novels based on his international experiences as a flaneur. He enjoys his time between Seattle, Ohio, and the Caribbean.
