While E.P. Lande was born in Montreal, he has lived most of his life in Europe, where he lived in the south of France, and in Vermont, where he now lives with his partner on 500 acres caring for more than 100 animals most of which are rescues.
With a PhD in economics, he has taught at the university level, and when with l’Université d’Ottawa, he served as Vice-Dean of his faculty, where his duties included promoting the faculty and its students. Since, he has owned and managed country inns and free-standing restaurants.
He began writing seriously about 20 years ago, using personal experiences to enhance his stories. Thus, for the most part, his writing reflects situations that actually happened, with characters who played varying rôles in these events.
