Bob Kruger is a former medical-maging scientist, who has submitted innumerable grant applications to the National Institutes of Health—a form of begging, really—to support his research, at which he has had some success. He is now retired and maintains a Substack page ( https://rkruger.substack.com/ ), where he publishes memoir and creative non-fiction. He lives with his wife, Ana Maria, in Chapel Hill, NC.
