James Flanagan is an author of speculative fiction with short fiction publications in Nonbinary Review, EverydayFiction, Dark Drabbles anthology, and the forthcoming 42 Stories Anthology. His debut sci-fi novel, GENEFIRE, won the Firebird Book Award and the Literary Titan Book Award in 2023. He can’t resist a good writing contest. By day he is an academic scientist with a Ph.D. in cancer genetics, working at Imperial College London. He was born in Brisbane, Australia, and now lives in East London, UK, with his wife, son, and two cats.
