Rebecca is a writer and illustrator from Northern Ireland just starting out. She loves to write fantasy, young adult and speculative fiction as well as explore themes of uniqueness and neurodiversity as she is also an autistic adult with her own experiences that she feels she can use in her writing. Rebecca has created an illustrated poem published in 3am magazine’s as part of their Brut Awards and is currently working to illustrate for other authors and complete her own writing pieces. She has got to do some amazing things in the past two years such as attending the John Hewitt Summer School, creating and telling stories as a storyteller and completing her last year of university, focusing on creative writing modules.
Rebecca is also part English and took inspiration from the graveyards close to her Grandma’s house where wild bluebells grow along every verge. Ever since she saw them, she really wanted to write a story that incorporated the beauty and sorrow in that place.
