Mark Czanik is of English/Hungarian descent, and his work often takes the form of a partly fictionalised account of the meeting between these two worlds, a patch of shifting ground he keeps coming back to in the hope of discovering something he hadn’t noticed before. He was brought up in the sweet borderlands of Herefordshire, and now lives in Bath where he enjoys catching buses to new places with his wife, finding different paths to walk, and searching charity shops for old films, books, and music he didn’t know he was looking for. Recent stories, poems, and the odd bit of artwork have appeared in Writer’s Block, Fragmented Voices, Ink Sweat and Tears, The Craft of Care, Pennine Platform, and Dream Catcher.
