Cunningham, Matt

The first time Matt tried to write crime fiction, he was ten years old. The novel he wrote was about twenty chapters in length, most of them involving another murder. Each chapter was about a page long and the murderer was pretty much the only character who wasn’t a) the detective, or b) dead.

Matt likes to think his writing has improved a bit since then, given that he has nearly finished an MA in Creative Writing. He still writes crime fiction with a twist most of the time but has been known to dabble in the horror and thriller genres as well.

He is from a village just outside Wrexham, North Wales. Matt lives with his wife and their three cats. He’ll be a Dad soon and is a trade union official. He has actually got an idea for a novel about a crime-solving union rep, but before he gets to that he is working on an historical crime thriller.
