Lida Papasokrati grew up in Athens, Greece. In school, she spent much of her Ancient Greek classes composing epic poetry about math quizzes. She has since moved to Belgium, where she works as a doctor and is perpetually late to her writing group meetings. (She is a member of the Brussels Writer’s Circle and, since an internship in Geneva during her student years, the Geneva Writers’ Group). Her short story “Reflections” placed second at the Geneva Writers Group Award for Fiction in 2016. Her work has appeared in the anthologies “Offshoots 14: Writing from Geneva” and ”The Circle: A Brussels Anthology”.
