Jane Dougherty is an Irish national, brought up in Yorkshire, and educated at Manchester and London. Her first job was in the wine trade and took her to Paris where she worked for fourteen years. She has never left France and now lives in Bordeaux with her five children, a Spanish greyhound, and far too many cats. She writes fantasy with a touch of history and mythology and enjoys retelling Celtic legends.
She has self-published The Green Woman trilogy, a dystopian/utopian fantasy series, and several spin-off stories. Following a family tradition, she also writes poetry and has been published in Poetry Nook Magazine and The Bamboo Hut. Her prize-winning story, The Last Battle, will be published by Dragon Knight Chronicles next spring. She always has a lot of WIP.
