Byrne, Deidre Jaye

After a life time of story writing, in fits and starts, in secret, Deidre has finally grown bold enough to begin sending out her work. A retired teacher and attorney, Deidre’s stories have been published on line at Forth Magazine (“Marmalade”) and Down in the Dirt (“Timetable”) and now here at Literally Stories. Since relocating from Long Island to the Hudson Valley region of New York State, she divides her time between catching up on her reading and developing her craft. She is a weekly contributor to the Opinion pages of the Saugerties Times, studies at the Writers Studio-Hudson Valley, and is currently at work on a collection of short stories exploring the contours of grief, loss, and hope.
