It’s over. You did well. We all did well. All we have to do now is to get through the hell that is New Years Eve. The parties, the alcohol, the hangover, the smelly uncle who wants to kiss you. We hope this might help. Our last in this series of stories to counteract the bonhomie, the joy, the horror that is The Festive Season.

To All:
Thank you to Diane for her header and opening remarks to each piece. Today Ashlie concludes Christmas Hellworld Hellweek (which is also LS week 513) with an excellent tale from our “yore”–a place that gets larger with every passing season. And in that respect, one can watch the official opening of yore to come tomorrow morning, with the perfectly named Mick Bloor!

A pleasure as always. I haven’t been around that much because – Christmas and family. Zooming about the Cotswolds in a red Triumph TR6 and sitting in old world pubs with beer – It’s been great and it’s lovely to see that the creepy horror stories have had another outing and counteracted all the sugar! To all the authors – thank you again for your weird, spooky, gruesome work – I worry about you! dd

Sharp as a knife and cuts deep. There are many hells, including ones that are self-made.

Hi Ashlie,
It was brilliant to see this get another day in the sun.
I looked back at my initial comments to you and saw that I mentioned the first few amazing lines. I read this again and found another few that were on a par:
‘It’s the careless, almost destructive feeling you get when you’re finally free from all miseries for a moment. You no longer feel responsible for any bad behavior. Suddenly everything you’ve ever felt goes to space; the universe cradles your conscious and laughs at all your torment.’
It’s been a while since we saw anything from you and I hope that you send us something soon…And if you’ve put your pen down, pick it back up, your work needs to be out there in some form or another.
All the very best to you and your loved ones over the festivities!!
