Brilliant. Wehave almost made it together. Thanks to our wonderful authors we’ve survived the shmooze, the sweet, the gooey. It’s been great, it’s been scary, it’s been Christmas Hellweek. Stories to counteract all that goodwill – I hope we helped – Literally Stories, bah humbug editors.

Hi L’Erin
This one was in such a hurry to bring on the hell that it escaped its cage early.
Still as fresh as ever!

No holds barred. Adds acrid flavour to the notion of ‘raising hell’. Certainly counteracts all the schmaltz!

Hi L’Erin,
Another belter of a story for this week!!
You grossed us out without being gratuitous…Now that is a huge talent!!
‘One day I found him with my bathroom trash.’
That line is genius in sickness but also in subtleness…That is one of those double-take moments that few can ever achieve.
Please keep that darkness in your outlook, it enhances the brilliance of your work!!
All the very best to you and yours over the New Year.

Definitely punchy and real and also a sadness to it. I’m currently reading Emmanuel Carrere’s latest, V13, about the trial of the Paris terror attacks several years ago and much of the testimony given is by the parents, most of whom had no idea what was happening, of the perpertrators and in many ways it’s as heartbreaking as that of the victims, which in turn creates an uneasiness for the reader, which is exactly what this piece does.
