Ok, so here in the U.K. there’s a tradition of reading horror stories on Christmas Eve (or watching them on tv – BBC2 has one late at night each year) and this definitely fits the bill – gave me the heeby jeebies! Very well done.

Good horror story. It has an immersive setting (pun intended), effective tension-building and a strong narrative voice. Fits the week’s theme nicely.
