Emma Uriarte is a native of Southern California, and she completed her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of San Diego in 2017. She has been previously recognized for her short story “Brother” in the Cropper Creative Writing Contest. After graduation she relocated to Madrid, Spain, where she currently teaches ESL to teens, stubbornly drinks tinto de verano even in winter, and, of course, writes daily. In addition to writing more short stories, she is also working on a novel.
